二、主题与定位
本项目依托昆明理工大学真空冶金国家工程研究中心、省部共建复杂有色金属资源清洁利用国家重点实验室、冶金与能源产业融合发展创新引智基地等国家级平台,紧密围绕学校“低碳冶金”和“绿色能源”两大研究方向,充分发挥云南省绿色硅材、有色及稀贵金属新材料等特色资源优势,面向泰国、老挝、越南、新加坡、斯里兰卡等南亚、东南亚国家本科及以上层次学生及在职教师、青年科研人员,构建学科交叉型的前沿学术平台,积极推进冶金与能源领域的基础研究和技术创新的国际合作,推进面向两亚辐射中心建设。
三、课程设计
(一)前沿学术讲座
主题:低碳冶金工艺、能源材料、固态电池技术、冶金固废资源化
主讲人:国内外冶金与新能源领域院士团队、专家学者
(二)产业实践参访
参访云铝股份绿色铝生产线、云南锗业红外光学材料基地、云南保山隆基绿能硅光伏零碳工厂、云南德方纳米新型磷酸盐系正极材料生产基地等。

来源:泰国、老挝、越南、新加坡、斯里兰卡等南亚、东南亚国家的本科、硕博研究生及科研人员

International Summer Camp on Low-Carbon Metallurgy and Green Energy for South and Southeast Asia
I. Time and Location
• Time: June 30 to July 26, 2025 (26 days in total)
• Location: Kunming University of Science and Technology and enterprises in the metallurgy and energy sectors in Yunnan Province.
II. Theme and Positioning
This program leverages national platforms such as the National Engineering Research Center for Vacuum Metallurgy, the State Key Laboratory of Complex Nonferrous Metal Resources Clean Utilization (co-established by the Ministry of Education and Yunnan Province), and the Innovative Intelligence Base for Integrated Development of Metallurgy and Energy Industries. It focuses on the university’s core research directions of "low-carbon metallurgy" and "green energy", capitalizing on Yunnan’s unique advantages in green silicon materials, nonferrous metals, and rare/precious metal resources. Targeting undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and young researchers from South and Southeast Asian countries (e.g., Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, and Sri Lanka), the camp aims to:
• Build an interdisciplinary academic platform for cutting-edge research.
• Foster international collaboration in fundamental research and technological innovation for metallurgy and energy.
• Promote the development of Yunnan as a regional hub for South and Southeast Asia.
III. Curriculum Design
• Frontier Academic Lectures
Topics: Low-carbon metallurgical processes, energy materials, solid-state battery technologies, and recycling of metallurgical solid waste.
Speakers: Academicians, scholars, and experts from global metallurgy and renewable energy fields.
• Industrial Site Visits
Green aluminum production lines at Yunnan Aluminium Co., Ltd.
Infrared optical materials base at Yunnan Germanium Industry Co., Ltd.
Zero-carbon silicon photovoltaic factory at Longi Green Energy Technology (Baoshan, Yunnan)
Novel phosphate-based cathode material production base at Yunnan Dynanonic Co., Ltd..
IV. Recruitment Plan
• Target Participants: Undergraduates, master’s/PhD students, and researchers from South/Southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Sri Lanka, etc.).
• Majors: Materials Science, Metallurgy, Energy, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields.
• Scale: 30 participants (6-8 per country).
